Description

The Council is looking to procure a contract for the provision of an ASQ accredited advice service provider to deliver universal advice and information to the citizens of Barnsley and a dedicated British Sign Language provision for the deaf community. The aims of the service will be to: (a) deliver advice and information to citizens of Barnsley who seek assistance with a wide range of issues which promotes individuals independence and well-being, including promoting opportunities for individuals to return into employment and/or training, where appropriate. (b) provide a British Sign Language service to replicate this offer to the local deaf community. The objective of the service is to deliver free, confidential, impartial and independent advice to enable local residents to deal with a wide range of issues, including debt and money advice, welfare benefits, housing, utilities, relationships, employment and consumer issues.
