Cancer Wise Leeds

The Yorkshire Cancer Research Leeds Locality Based Screening and Awareness Programme will run for three years (1st April 2019 to 31st March 2022) and develop a city-wide network of up to ten whole time equivalent screening and awareness coordinators. These coordinators will work with their local Primary Care Network (PCN) and work towards increasing cancer screening uptake to meet national targets across all three screening programmes (bowel, breast and cervical), as well as increasing awareness of cancer signs, symptoms and risk factors amongst the public, and reducing health inequalities amongst the most deprived and vulnerable population.
