Description
Judith's Field already contains a skatepark and pump track which are both very well used by most age groups. However, there is a recognised need for an additional facility where younger children, some on balance bikes, can start to try smaller ramps and tracks. This will also offer opportunities for older children and adults to start using skateboards, scooters and bmx. The tarmac area adjacent to the skatepark would be an ideal location for this facility. This is currently used as an area for kicking balls against the existing graffiti wall. It is anticipated that the design of the Novice Skatepark will involve the removal of the graffiti wall. The cost of removal of this structures will be by others and should not be included in the tender price. It is required that a path be left between the existing skatepark and the new novice skatepark to allow access to the rest of the field and to provide separation from the experienced users of the existing skatepark and discourage movement between the two.
