Description

NYP have identified the need for a fully licensed dog kennelling provider (under the Boarding Establishment Act 1963) who can potentially collect and transport banned breeds, dangerous and seized dogs within the county of North Yorkshire in a safe and secure manner within a 2 hours timeframe following a call-out. This service will be required on a 24/7/365(6) days a year basis and must include secure kennels and associated welfare requirements for the dogs. The requirement is for a minimum of 8 kennels, although this figure is estimated and is not a guarantee of future business. The kennels must be no more than 50 miles and within 2 hours’ drive from the City of York to ensure the efficient use of operational police time when officers attend the kennels. The intention of this Prior Information Notice is to assess the market for any interested parties who can deliver this service.
