The Ridges - Embankment Stabilisation

Wokingham Borough Council are inviting tenders for the provision of works for soil nail slope stabilisation at The Ridges in Wokingham. In March 2021, a geotechnical event occurred on the B3348 (known as "The Ridges") which caused immediate action to close the road and undertake an emergency Principal Inspection (PI). The emergency PI recommended that a Ground Investigation (GI) be undertaken at the earliest opportunity to identify pavement build-up, drainage regime and underlying geology. The results of the GI would then be analysed to inform on potential remedial design options. Following on from the GI, an optioneering exercise was undertaken. A soil nailed slope stabilisation scheme was chosen.
