Description
The University is inviting tenders on the terms set out in this ITT for the supply, delivery and installation of a cryocooling system for a single-crystal X-ray diffractometer. The key features of the system will include the ability to cool the crystal to at least 100 degrees Kelvin without causing ice formation or inhibiting the X-ray beam. The system will be installed and integrated into a Rigaku Oxford Diffraction SuperNova X-ray cabinet, and must, therefore, be fully compatible with this set up. It will be controlled and operated using CryAlisPro software. The procured items should be expected to remain in use for a minimum of 10 to 12 years. The successful tenderer will be responsible for ensuring full installation, integration, and operational functionality. Operational functionality must include full system calibration and alignment, training for university staff on system operation, if required, and verification that the system meets all specified performance criteria. The system must be delivered and installed within 12 weeks of contract award, or bidders should specify their lead time. The budget range for this procurement is between £56,000 and £64,750 inclusive of VAT.
