Description

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at Sarah Bonnell School. Sarah Bonnell School in Stratford, London, is an inclusive all-girls School with a diverse range of students and staff, who benefit from a superb 'state of the art' building which opened in September 2010, providing excellent learning facilities for students. Sarah Bonnell School want students to be proud of their school and to make a positive contribution to School life by taking on leadership responsibilities and encouraging others to reach their potential, this is what we call the 'Sarah Bonnell Way'. The 'Sarah Bonnell Way' incorporates the schools slogan. Aim high. Be proud. Work hard. Be nice. No excuses. The School achieved a good with outstanding features during our last Ofsted inspection in 2013. The goal the school has set for themselves is to achieve Outstanding in all categories by the next Ofsted inspection. The tender project is seeking to appoint a contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of cleaning services within the facilities for the school. The high quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a pleasant environment for both the pupils and staff. The basis and rationale that the Client requires the successful contractor to operate to at all times, is being able to provide a School that is fit for purpose and that the Contractor is proactive in the management of the contract, thus ensuring that all specifications are achieved and that the frequency of cleans is as detailed within the Tender Specification. The contract being tendered is for 3 + 2 years in duration from 1 April 2016 and will be fixed price in nature, with the Contractor invoicing the Client for one-twelfth of the annual cost on a monthly basis. It should be noted that the successful contractor will be expected to bring to the contract: innovation; new equipment; and cleaning methods, with BICSc standards being achieved, as a minimum, thus ensuring that the highest levels of cleanliness are maintained in all areas at all times and also ensuring that the productivity of the cleaning operatives is enhanced moving forward into the new contract term. At present 16 cleaning operatives and a Manager are employed to work 1260 hours per month, Monday to Friday. There is also a cleaner present in School during the day. The total cost of the current contract is £219,708 per annum.
