Description

In January 2017 LJMU commissioned the North West Ambulance Service (who appointed Green Urban) to conduct a buildings audit for the purpose of identifying the optimal location of AEDs (including public access AEDs) at University sites. LJMU have identified sixty eight locations for AEDs, nine of the AEDs is external and for public access, and fifty nine internal AEDs. LJMU requireD two bid proposals as follows: Option One The supply of sixty eight AEDs, aimed at basic level responders , nine of which are suitable for public access defibrillation , that give clear audio and visual instructions , guiding the rescuer through the resuscitation process. To provide and install nine lockable public access defibrillation cabinets that meet North West Ambulance Service's minimum requirement (see Appendix A). All equipment to meet current British and European Standards Option Two The lease of sixty eight AEDs, aimed at basic level responders, that give clear audio and visual instructions, guiding the rescuer through the resuscitation process. To provide and install nine lockable public access defibrillation cabinets that meet North West Ambulance Service's minimum requirement (see Appendix A). All equipment to meet current British and European Standards LJMU will assess which option offers best value to the University, therefore will award against Option One or Two only Please note documents were available to access until 12 Noon 26th Feb 2018. The last day for clarifications to be submitted is 12 noon 23rd February. The date of submission is no later than 12 noon on 1st March 2018.
