This Contract Variation of the scope of the original contract to extend the service to cover North Cumbria NHS ICB. It is a permitted Modification Regulation 72(1)(c) of the Public Contract regulations 2015. The extension of the scope is operationally required for cost efficiency and optimum interoperability and the modification satifies all of the following criteria:<br/><br/>(i)the need for modification has been brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority could not have foreseen;<br/><br/>(ii)the modification does not alter the overall nature of the contract;<br/><br/>(iii)the increase in price does not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract or framework agreement.
