Description
The service required includes the survey, supply, installation, maintenance, removal, reconditioning, storage and disposal of a range of ceiling track hoists, gantry hoists and mobile hoists which are allocated to service users who reside at the following, in County Durham: • Domestic properties (including university accommodation) • Independent Supported Housing establishments • Extra Care Housing • Residential Care Homes for adults and children The contract also includes the survey, supply, installation, maintenance, removal, reconditioning, storage and disposal of straight track hoists, X-Y systems and turntable hoists and also any additional specialist ceiling track hoists. The Council will also require the removal, storage and re-installation of a number of existing free standing hoists (not more than 40), which are the property of the Council. These contract arrangements will enable Durham County Council to fulfil its duty of care to ensure that all assessed needs for ceiling track hoists, mobile hoists, gantry hoists are met throughout the period of the contractual arrangement. The assessed needs will be identified by the Occupational Therapists (OT) for Children and Adult Services and the Learning Disability OTs employed by Tees Esk & Wear Valley NHS Trust, Community OT Rehab (County Durham & Darlington Foundation Trust).
