Description
COVID-19 is deemed by public health officials and the World Health Organisation to be serious and its consequences pose a risk to life. The current unprecedented situation the UK is facing relating to the Covid-19 virus means that urgent responses are required in order to be able to react accordingly. Hampshire County Council will be setting up a designated area at Southampton Airport for a temporary Mortuary. Due to the rapid spread of the Covid 19 virus, this facility will need to be operational within a couple of days, meaning a competitive procurement procedure is not feasible to be undertaken. Any delay in the operational set up of the facility will undermine the County council's Integrity, affects its reputation and may provide risk to residents in Hampshire and beyond.
