Description
There are different software solutions available for pedagogical approaches to the teaching and learning of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology. These include 'Table-Topped' tilt devices with a single screen LCD monitor that covers a portion of a body. Other examples include mobile solutions on Tablet devices or within LIS via our subject catalogue. The Anatomage Table is the only device to replicate a cadaveric dissection table and therefore digitally replicates the approach to learning anatomy in the medical model, without the need for formalin, cold storage and Human Tissue Act (2008) constraints. The usability of the Anatomage Table is linked to the pedagogic considerations of the new Walsall Skills and Simulation Laboratories, where students will be able to learn anatomy and then practise a clinical investigation based upon their new knowledge. The will then be able to see the pathological changes to explain a presenting condition or sequelae.
