STRUCTURAL REPAIRS TO EXTERNAL STAIRCASE'S AND WALKWAYS TO 7 NO. SHELTERED SCHEMES, 3 NO. EXTERNAL STAIRS TO RAILWAY VILLAGE PROPERTIES & 3 NO. COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES.\r \r Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of structural repairs to external staircase's and walkways to 7 no. sheltered schemes, 3 no. external stairs to railway village properties & 3 no. commercial properties.\r \r Project Description\r \r 1.1 Structural repairs to external staircases and walkways. The works include but are not limited to: \r \r • Preparation of steel elements for painting & applying top coat \r • Replacement of particular steel elements (where necessary) identified within structural reports\r • Painting stair nosing's\r • Application of non-slip coatings\r • Application of protective sheeting's for prevention of climbing\r • Replacing uprights\r • Replacement of sections of timber balustrade, where identified.\r • Replace cracked slabs\r • Vegetation Removal\r \r The initial contract term will be for 12 months from 1st June 2025. With no optional extension periods. \r Estimated contract spend is between £340,000 and £350,000 across the contract term. \r \r Full details relating to the Works are provided in the tender documents.\r \r To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents.
