Description

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Sutton (jointly the Client) operate a shared service for street lighting. They seek to establish a collaborative relationship with a Contractor who will add real value to the delivery of street lighting maintenance and improvement services, through the OJEU Open Tendering procedure. The intention is to establish and foster a co-operative working relationship between the Client's staff and the successful tenderer, to deliver effective, efficient and continually improving service to the residents of both Boroughs. The term of this contract is ten years. The appointed Contractor will be encouraged to demonstrate successful delivery through the measurement of a number of Key Performance Indicators. The contract will allow the Client to recover certain costs in the event of the Contractor's significant and consistent failure to perform and tenderers are advised to study the tender documents carefully to ensure that they fully understand the obligations and procedures described in them. The conditions of contract for the provision of the service are Main Option A of the NEC4 Term Service Contract, with the Secondary Options and minor amendments as stated in the Contract Data Part One.
