Description
GPs across the NWL and SWL sectors are piloting a GP decision support tool as part of the RM Partners (RMP) Cancer Transformation Program. This program aims to deliver the earlier diagnosis objective set out in the NHS Long Term Plan, to diagnose 75% of cancers at stages one or two by 2028.The Royal Marsden NHS Trust wishes to commission an independent consultancy to produce a summative evaluation of the existing GP decision support tool to determine its full impact. Furthermore, this summative evaluation will provide necessary evidence to support the decision to approve long-term funding. The market was reviewed, and the following consultancies were approached for competitive quotes via the e-procurement portal Due North. 1. Frontier Economics 2. Public Sector Consultants 3. University College London Hospitals However, only one formal quote was submitted by Frontier Economics. The remaining consultancies opted out of the tender as they were unable to meet the trust's requirements. Although only one supplier submitted a bid, a full combined evaluation of the supplier's submission still took place to ensure the Trust's requirements would be met.
