Description
Torridge District Council requires a mixture of split body Refuse Collection Vehicles, to be used in providing the Kerbside recycling service. Split bodies are required as there is a requirement to collect glass separately from other materials presented for recycling. The contract will be for the provision of five 70/30 Split body Recycling Collection Vehicles through Contract Hire to Torridge District Council. Because of the diverse nature of the services provided by TDC and the importance of the services being delivered on time, within set standards, whilst achieving best value, TDC will require the Contractor to supply both the vehicles and their accompanying maintenance, repair and servicing (where applicable) to the highest possible standards. The strategic importance of certain vehicles places a high demand on the Authority to ensure that the level of service is kept at the highest possible standard throughout the contract period. This is a two lot tender: • Lot A is for hire only • Lot B is for hire and maintenance.
