Description
The London Procurement Partnership (LPP) hosted by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is issuing this Prior Information Notice of its intention to undertake a competitive procurement of a Framework Agreement for the Provision of Transport for Medicines from the NHS to Patients. With the increasing interest following Covid-19 pandemic from LPP member and non-member organisations, the LPP has taken the decision to tender for these services. The aim of this framework is to allow NHS organisations throughout England to accelerated and steamline the process, thereby allowing for early realisation of benefits. The access will be either through direct award or via mini-competition at a trust or locality base. The notice does not constitute a call for competition. The service will include the collection of medicines from an NHS organisation, or third party and delivery to a patient's home or alternative delivery address. The medicines will include ambient and cold chain products, and well as controlled drugs. The purpose of this PIN is to encourage any organisations interested in bidding for this framework to engage with the LPP. LPP wishes to gather information and intelligence, as to how the LPP can develop the framework agreement to meet the needs of NHS organisations and patients. If you would like further details on how to engage, please contact lppprocurement@lpp.nhs.uk We are planning to hold a suppliers' day on Tuesday 25th August, so the deadline to express interest is Thursday 20th August.
