Description
Yorkshire and Humber Commissioning Support (YHCS) on behalf of NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking to commission a single provider Interpretation and Translation Service through an open procurement process. The preferred Bidder will be required to demonstrate how they will deliver services in an environment of transforming health care provision as outlined in the NHS Five Year Forward View and Hull 2020 Programme. The Service will provide a high quality, confidential and effective Interpretation and Translation Service for those people who are registered with a Hull GP, or living in Hull but not registered with a GP who wish to access Primary Care services and for whom communication in English presents a significant barrier to understanding. The service will deliver Interpreting and Translation services for the Authorised Users comprising of GP Practices, Dental Practices, Community Pharmacists and Ophthalmic Practices based in the city of Hull. This will include providing services in the following ways: • Face to Face Interpretation Services; • Telephone Interpretation Services; • Video Remote Interpreting / Video Relay Services; • Resident Interpreters; • Translation Service for printed material including hospital letters - to and from English; • Signing (using British Sign Language); • Audio Transcriptions. NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group recognises the diversity of providers in the market and the range of skills, resources, experience and expertise that they offer. It is anticipated that successful bids will be those based on innovative solutions and use of technology, to ensure ‘service user-centred’ solutions for the provision of this service. NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group wishes to establish a single Provider contract for the provision of services.
