Description
The Coal Authority is looking for a specialist contractor to undertake the removal and replacement of temporary transfer pipe work and sea outfall, conveying water from the No.2 shaft at the former Michael colliery at East Wemyss in Fife to a discharge point 25m beyond the Mean Low Water Springs (MLWS) in the Firth of Forth, with a permanent installation. The works shall comprise of the site clearance of the existing infrastructure and the detailed design and construction of a pumping station, control building, working platform and outfall pipe line. This shall include the design and implementation of any additional ground investigations and other required surveys to inform the detailed design. The works shall also include laying of a duct for power cable installation by others. Successful tenderers will enter into a contract in accordance with the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract and additional conditions of contract.
