Description
Westminster City Council carried out a procurement process for a new contract to deliver the Healthy Schools, Healthy Early Years, and Domestic Abuse Prevention Service in Westminster. The service aims to improve health and wellbeing in schools and early years settings by supporting the implementation of evidence-based programmes aligned with Healthy Schools London and Healthy Early Years London. It tackles health inequalities whilst promoting physical, mental health and wellbeing in children and young people promoting a whole setting approach to wellbeing. It also provides support around Personal Health Social and Economic Education (PHSE) and helps schools to map and analyse current provision to develop the curriculum to meet the needs of pupils in line with statutory guidance. The service also includes a dedicated Domestic Violence Prevention in Schools Programme which supports schools to develop a whole setting approach to domestic abuse and promoting healthy relationships including delivering staff training and linking with RSHE. Schools can also align this programme with the Healthy Schools offer.
