Description
DCMS is developing the diversification strategy, to meet the following objectives in the UK mobile RAN equipment market: 1). Securing the existing supply chains of non high risk suppliers by putting in place measures and mitigations that will ensure that there is no disruption to the UK telecoms networks or to the roll out of 5G 2). Removing barriers to entry and expansion to allow and facilitate the entry of scale vendors that are not currently active in the UK market, this may include providing commercial incentives and creating large scale opportunities for vendors to enter the UK market. DCMS are seeking to appoint a Provider to identify and assess the impacts (benefits and costs) of our diversification policy options. The assessment will be used for producing BCRs (analysis/models) to support the economic business case for our proposals to achieve the diversification objectives and outcomes.
