Description
In response to Covid 19, West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership Personalised Care Programme are developing a training offer to upskill and support the expansion of the social prescribing and the voluntary sector workforce during 2020/21. The training programme will aim to upskill voluntary sector staff, volunteers and link workers across West Yorkshire & Harrogate in delivering vital support to address inequalities and the needs of our most vulnerable communities during Covid 19 and beyond. Due to the current challenges of Covid 19, our health and care system has had to adapt to virtual and online ways of working. The aim of the programme will be to ensure our workforce including voluntary sector workers and volunteers are equipped with the essential online skills including virtual health coaching skills and digital and virtual technologies in supporting the health and emotional resilience of both the staff and communities during this time. One of our key outcomes is to support the development of the voluntary sector to embed digital approaches within their ways of working and in doing so, support and encourage more of our communities to access support online. We are inviting expressions of interest from experienced training providers who have experience of working with the voluntary sector and the NHS to apply for this exciting opportunity to deliver training to support the resilience and upskilling of our health and care, volunteer and link worker workforce. We would welcome responses from either individual organisations or consortiums of organisations to deliver specific modules or the whole training programme. This programme will deliver real impact in meeting the needs of our most vulnerable communities across West Yorkshire & Harrogate. If successful, the selected provider/s will receive between £50,000 and £100,000 to deliver the training programme up until March 2021.
