Description
The service required is the provision of a treatment facility and or a waste transfer facility for the receipt, handling and composting of municipal organic waste from kerbside collection services, civic amenity centres and a Council owned waste transfer station. The kerbside collected and civic amenity material will be delivered to the treatment or transfer facility by Warrington Borough Council or its associated contractors. The material from the Council owned waste transfer station is to be containerised and collected from this facility. The material is to be treated, to produce a compost/soil improver, meeting the quality criteria compliant with BSI PAS100 and the Compost Quality Protocol (CQP). The contractor must have all necessary licences for receipt, storage and treatment of such waste.
