Description

The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust (the Trust) is seeking a provider to collaborate in the delivery of sterilisation services. The Trust is currently engaged in a major building project to replace the Royal Liverpool University Hospital with a new hospital with 18 theatres, 23 wards and 646 single bedrooms, due to open in late summer 2017. The service will provide services to the new hospital and also to the Trust’s operations on the Broadgreen Hospital site and at the Liverpool Dental Hospital. The project will include the design, build, equipping and commissioning of a new off-site Sterile Services Unit. The Trust will work alongside its partner to deliver this solution. The term of the partnership will be subject to negotiation. The Trust will maintain the management of the service and retain the Sterile Services staff under Trust employment; the arrangement will proceed on the basis that the service will not transfer to the Partner and there will be no TUPE transfer. The Partner will provide the investment and build the facility and in addition provide ongoing services such as best practice guidelines, LEAN processing knowledge, quality assurance expertise, IT platform, equipment, instrument repair and consumables management. It is expected that the partner will have the facility built, commissioned and ready for operation within twelve months of Contract Award. The Procurement will be subject to OJEU Regulations. Prior to issuing a tender, the Trust would like to invite expressions of interest from qualified providers who should register their interests by applying via e-mail to:- Mr Les Stamper Procurement Manager Les.Stamper@rlbuht.nhs.uk Closing Date for Response: Wednesday 13th July
