Description
The City of London Corporation seeks to appoint a Main Contractor to deliver refurbishment, building safety, compliance and energy efficiency improvements at Crescent House, a Grade II* listed occupied residential Higher-Risk Building. Works include window upgrades, M&E replacement, fire safety improvements, roof and facade repairs, drainage and communal area upgrades. The contract will be delivered through a Pre-Construction Services phase, Enabling Works phase and Main Works phase. The building will remain occupied throughout, requiring phased delivery, resident decants, stakeholder engagement and support for Building Safety Regulator approvals. This tendering exercise is being undertaken using the electronic tendering system 'City of London Corporation Sourcing & Contracts Portal' (https://cityoflondon.ukp.app.jaggaer.com/). Suppliers will need to register an interest on the system in order to participate and registration is free. The estimated contract value given at sections 31 and 32 is for the full duration of the contract including the maximum possible extensions.

Participation
Conditions suppliers must meet to bid.
Suppliers must demonstrate that they possess the economic and financial standing necessary to perform the contract. The Authority may assess financial capacity using information provided by suppliers, including turnover and other appropriate financial information. The successful supplier will be required, prior to contract commencement, to obtain and maintain the levels of insurance specified in the contract, including: - Public Liability Insurance: £50 million - Product Liability Insurance: £50 million - Professional Indemnity Insurance: £10 million - Contract Works Insurance in accordance with the contract requirements Suppliers will not be required to hold these insurances at the time of submitting an application or tender but must be capable of obtaining them prior to contract award and commencement.
Suppliers will be shortlisted based on compliance with the Conditions of Participation, relevant experience and capability (pass/fail), and scored responses assessing team capability, understanding of project risks, and proposed delivery approach. Up to five highest-scoring suppliers will be invited to tender.
