The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for St Thomas More R C Academy. Contract value = 1 100 000 GBP approx. St Thomas More is an 11-18 mixed, convertor academy and part of the Hexham and Newcastle Partnership. The school serves the catholic population within the St Oswins deanery in North Shields and has an excellent reputation locally, regionally and nationally for the quality of its education, pastoral care and levels of achievement. It has been recognised by the Minister of State for Schools as 1 of the top 100 schools in England and Wales. The school has the capacity for 1 700 students which includes up to 350 in the sixth form. There is a dedicated dining area and the school, as part of the tender process, would welcome proposals for service improvement / expansion possibly with capital investment. In order to ensure that it continues to receive value for money, the school wishes to put the catering services out to competitive tender with a new contract to commence 1.9.2017 on the basis of a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 years. Expressions of interest are invited from Suppliers with experience of providing catering services in this sector and with the resource to support catering services within this geographical region.
