Description

This contract aims to appoint a Supplier(s) of Digital Aerial Surveys DAS coupled with airborne LiDAR to collect data on the abundance and distribution of seabirds and marine mammals, and to provide altitude data for birds in flight. This will provide data to address evidence gaps that have been identified for specific species, areas (including within offshore wind farms), and times of year. The outputs from these surveys will be made publicly available through an Open Government License, or equivalent, and it is anticipated that they will be published on The Crown Estate’s Marine Data Exchange. This tender has been divided into two lots, which share the same CPV code, location, evaluation criteria, and conditions, and are suitable for SME&VCSEs. Lot 1- Autumn and Winter Survey Nine LiDAR-coupled DAS surveys to be completed during the contract. Lot 2 - Summer and Spring Survey Eleven LiDAR-coupled DAS surveys to be completed during the contract.
