Description
The remit of the Service is to promote high quality design submissions and help to deliver the vision and objectives of the Brighton & Hove City Plan. This provision will enhance the discretionary advice service currently offered to Applicants within the city and help to upskill key stakeholders and staff. The Supplier will be responsible for recruiting and convening a panel of experts to review and provide pre-planning advice on behalf of BHCC. Panel Review will be offered to Applicants prior to the submission of full planning applications for major schemes and will scrutinise these applications in light of national and local planning policy. Following the Panel convening, the Supplier will produce a Review Report with the aim of helping Applicants improve their chance of submitting a successful planning application. In addition the Supplier will be required to provide a fixed number of training days to upskill BHCC’s nominated stakeholders, including but not limited to BHCC staff and members.
