Description
Following an earlier approach to market Border Force have identified an urgent need for a craft which is capable of: • Securing a disabled small inflatable or other boat to be safely stabilised and allow the occupants to be safely transferred to another vessel. • Stabilising the disabled craft sufficiently to allow it to be towed by a 7 metre RHIB, or other vessel, to another location or place of safety. • Being carried by and deployed from a 7 metre RHIB while in open water. The successful bidder will be required to mobilise resources immediately and deliver a working model for trial by 24th July 2020 and, if successful, be capable of delivering a product into service by 31st July 2020. Along with the proposal, bidders should confirm their agreement to the following; • That the Authority retains the right to withdraw this requirement during any stage of this process; and • that the Supplier agrees to the Authority's Short Form T&C's (C19176 - Life Raft - T&C's) on which the contract will be awarded.
