Description
The Restoration and Renewal (R&R) Programme has a requirement for an external graphic design studio to provide services to our in-house comms team and produce high-quality, detailed and engaging corporate communication collateral, working within our newly established brand guidelines for the R&R Programme. The Palace of Westminster, home of Parliament, is one of the most loved and recognised buildings in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But sadly, it is falling apart faster than it can be fixed and is in need of fundamental repair. The 150-year-old building is at risk of a major fire, flood or falling stones. A report by the National Audit Office said that maintenance projects and ongoing works have doubled in just three years, to more than £125m a year. We are well underway with the Programme established by Parliament to save the home of our democracy and a cornerstone of our country's history for future generations. Parliamentary authorities have made great progress in recent years to make sure the building is safe and accessible for people to visit and work in. But many of these improvements were made in anticipation of a much larger restoration so in many cases were not designed to be long lasting solutions. The expert and engineer-led Restoration and Renewal Programme is working with Parliament to tackle all the significant work that needs to be done to protect the Houses of Parliament. We will build on the work Parliament has carried out in recent years to keep the building running. The studio/agency applying for this contract will need to demonstrate a design portfolio of similar graphic design work and brand development for a high-profile organisation. We are looking to work with an agency for the artworking and design of high-quality editorial layouts using R&R guidelines to produce a range of collateral on a project-by-project basis including but not be limited to: digital corporate communications such as strategy documents, brochures, infographics, maps and social media content. There will also be a need to produce printed publications and large format graphics for events where necessary.
