Provision of Tree Stock & Nursery Stock

This contract is to procure tree stock for the Council's 2021/22 free tree scheme. For future years, the Council is looking to set up it's own tree nursery to supply the scheme. In addition, it is envisaged companies have their own tree planting targets to support their internal net zero objectives. The Council may look at how it can secure some of this tree planting in the Leicestershire community to support the county wide objective to increase tree coverage. This may be more cost effective for businesses to donate trees to the Council's scheme than to pay for trees & subsequent planting themselves.
