External Audit Services

The University wishes to appoint auditors to provide External Audit Services. The firm appointed must meet the eligibility criteria for external auditors of higher education corporations as set out in paragraph 59(b) of Schedule 8 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. The external audit services will be required to be performed with due professional care in accordance with appropriate professional auditing practice, including International Standards on Auditing (UK) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. The external auditors appointed must be independent of the University group and comply with the ethical requirements relevant to the audit of financial statements in the UK, including the Financial Reporting Council's Ethical Standards on Auditing.
