Description

The Authority seeks a Trust Cost Advisor / QS to provide P22 Cost Advisor duties to the Authority for feasibilities and business case generation stages to final construction and handover of its major capital project programme for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further one year period subject to performance. The duties of the role will include supporting the Authority in development of capital projects for business cases as required (SOC, OBC and FBC) and acting as the Trust appointed P22 Cost Advisor during the construction period of any projects that are approved. The Authority has undertaken a P22 PSCP selection process, completed on 26th March 2018, concluding with the selection of IHP. The successful completion of the Trusts first major project (Brant ward GMP £3.2m) was achieved 13th December 2019. Potential major projects within the current portfolio include (but are not exclusive to): Project Stage Budget Business Case Value Works cost value Anticipated Construction Programme LPFT Female HDU OBC £7m £4.45m 11 months LPFT Acute Inpatients Re Provision SOC £28m £18.2m 21 months LPFT Acute Inpatients 3rd ward Pre SOC £13m £8.45m 14 months LPFT FWU Relocation Pre SOC £1.5m £1m 3 months LCHS Bourne Re Provision Pre SOC TBC TBC TBC LCHS Boston Re Provision SOC £14m £9.05m 14 months *Plus any other development within the time period It is anticipated that the time scales for this programme of works is extended over a number of years and would warrant a single lead Cost Advisor with occasional support as and when required. While this list represents the current programme of major capital projects the Trust cannot guarantee they will all progress to their next stage, nor that the appointed Cost Advisor will be involved in all stages of all projects. Other projects may be added to this list as clinical priorities change.
