Description
The Homes and Communities Agency wish to appoint a specialist contractor for demolition and remediation works at the former Connaught Barracks Site, Dover, Kent. The works include the removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials; demolition of barracks buildings and ancillary structures; removal of slabs, footings and foundations; removal of selected hard standing areas; and below ground remediation works (i.e. removal of contamination hotspots etc.) Works shall be notifiable under CDM 2015. Evidence is to be provided that all insurances cover asbestos removal, demolition and remediation works as a core business activity. Contractors must have in place Public and Employers Liability insurance cover of £10 million and £10 million to undertake this Contract respectively. The contract will be awarded based on value for money. Tenders will be appraised on both commercial and quality submissions. Please note the extension to the deadline from 16 May to 23 May at 1pm (Invitation to Tender document unchanged).
