Description

The Prestatyn High Street Public Realm Improvements scheme covers High Street from Bridge Road to the A547 junction at the top of the High Street and forms part of the wider regeneration of Prestatyn town centre. The works are expected to include a coordinated package of public realm and highway improvements, potentially including: • carriageway narrowing and reallocation of highway space to pedestrians; • widened footways and improved pedestrian crossings; • upgraded paving, kerbs and surfacing materials; • planting, trees, rain gardens and other SuDS features; • seating, street furniture, lighting, signage and wayfinding; • public art / placemaking features; • associated drainage, traffic management and statutory utility coordination works. The current project programme shows the scheme in detailed technical design, with contractor tendering anticipated later in 2026 and construction currently programmed from 2027. Please note that all dates are estimated and subject to amendment.
