The Provision of Habilitation Services

Derby City Council is tendering for a Habilitation Specialist (HS) to assess the orientation, mobility and appropriate independence needs of children and young people with a visual impairment, whose residential address is within the Derby City Council boundary. The aim of service is to meet the orientation, mobility and appropriate independence needs of children and young people with a visual impairment. The HS will inform the Qualified Teacher for Visual Impairment (QTVI) if other needs are identified and will provide advise and support to parents/carers and professionals in relation to this work. It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. The deadline for returns is 14:00 on 17th November 2017.
