Description
To reduce the local prevalence of smoking and tobacco use. The primary focus of the is to target the tobacco cessation activity for all local smokers with specialist support for the following who may have additional of complex needs; Black and minority ethnic groups (BME) Pregnant women Those living with mental health (MH) or severe (SMI) issues Those living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) Young people (17 and under) Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people Residents with substance misuse issues including alcohol and illicit substances. To provide an easy to access specialist stop smoking service for all smokers. To provide intensive support for smokers from targeted segments of the population (as specified in the statement of requirements in section 4). To provide a treatment and support programme. To successfully support people in quitting smoking and tobacco use, with particular focus on high need cohorts of the local population.
