Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) 2-Day Training - Enfield School Workforce 2 & 3 November 2020

TITLE: CODE: ENF/20/ Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) 2-Day Training TARGET AUDIENCE: Primarily for Teachers and Teaching Assistants, as well as early years practitioners, working in Special Schools and Inclusive Resource Bases with learners with communication difficulties including Autism. This course is also open to Speech and Language Therapists and Psychologists working in these settings Staff from mainstream provision who require PECS training are also welcome to attend. COURSE OUTLINE AND PURPOSE: This is a two day course designed to train staff working with learners with communication difficulties to use visual images in a structured and meaningful way to aid communication. It leads many children into independent communication with adults and peers and has also had an impact on changing behaviour for the better.
