Description

This is a re-tender of our Grounds Maintenance Services Framework which was originally let in 2012. The purpose of this exercise is to put a framework agreement in place with a number of suppliers for the provision of Grounds Maintenance Services. The general types of services that this framework will cover include all or part of the following elements: •General grounds requirements •Grass cuttings •Maintenance of grass surfaces •Hard surface and tarmac areas •Maintenance of shrub borders •Shrub beds •Hedge maintenance •Weed control •Fence line maintenance •Tree maintenance immature & mature) •Apply selective weed killer •Sports pitch marking and maintenance (all sports) •Scarify sports fields •Spiking of sports fields •Harrowing of sports fields The framework has been split into 13 regional lots with a maximum of 8 suppliers per lot and the estimated framework value is between £500,000-£1m over the four-year period. Please note that there is no guaranteed expenditure on this agreement. The competitiveness, level of service offered and marketing effort in the resulting agreements will be a large factor in determining how many institutions support the contract. CPC are looking for suppliers who will actively promote and market the agreement. The purpose of this framework agreement is to give EU cover and allow CPC members and other bodies to purchase at a substantial discount relative to the marketplace throughout the term of the framework agreement. The framework terms should apply to all eligible users of the framework agreement. Members have the right to utilise e-auctions during the further competition / call-off stage of supplier selection. It is a requirement of the tender that the selected supplier(s) extend the terms to all eligible institutions and consortia, as defined by the CPC including further education colleges/institutions, universities, sixth forms, academies, schools, museums and other similar organisations. The tender is also available for higher education institutions via our colleagues in other consortia. As per our joint contracting programme other bodies that could potentially be interested in access-ing the agreement are NWUPC (North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium). http://www.nwupc.ac.uk/ CPC reserves the right during the period of this agreement to make additions to or subtractions from the list of participating institutions and consortia. The right is also reserved to negotiate the inclusion of other users who are outside the main scope of this framework agreement. Current member details are available per region from the following link: - http://www.thecpc.ac.uk/members/regions.php Future members of the CPC will be from the education sector, the majority of whom will be on the open access EduBase
