Description

GC Business Growth Hub (GC BGH) is seeking to appoint a service provider (single Service Delivery Provider or consortium with a 'lead' operator) to complement and add value to the existing business support available across Greater Manchester for leadership and management development. The target market for this programme is Greater Manchester based SMEs that are looking to improve their productivity; recover from COVID-19; respond to innovative opportunities; and develop their skills, knowledge, and expertise to enable growth. We are particularly looking for a Service Delivery Provider/s who can reach businesses who previously haven't accessed leadership and management support. This programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with match funding from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), therefore all businesses assisted will need to meet ERDF eligibility requirements. The Service Delivery Provider/s will need to deliver a programme that is able to provide flexible support using digital solutions which will enable leaders to access content and support at a time convenient to themselves along with one to one/one to many support to business owners. All leadership and management content should be based on academic research and the latest thinking around developments and strategies for leaders of Greater Manchester's SMEs. This fully funded support to Greater Manchester SME's should respond to the known barriers SMEs face in absorbing leadership and management techniques and putting them into practice to facilitate necessary change. The UK Productivity Review, and the CBI "Ostrich to Magpie" Report, both identify the opportunity to boost UK productivity by spreading the adoption of best practice management techniques that more productive larger firms and SMEs in other places, such as Germany, more readily engage with.
