Description
The Trust's Kingsway Site comprises of five individual mental health units together with corporate and Estates buildings. The Kedleston Low Secure Unit provides a gender specific low secure service for males who demonstrate disturbed behaviour in the context of a serious mental disorder and who require the provision of security. The works comprise the construction of 2 new seclusion rooms as an extension and internal alteration of the existing seclusion suite. The works are to be carried out whilst the Unit continues in use and there will be a requirement to provide one seclusion room plus sanitary facilities at all times which will involve phasing the works. Contractors to be considered for the tender process must show that they have experience of working in NHS mental health 'live' ward locations due to the sensitivity and risk to all parties in working in this type of environment.
