Description

This notice confirms the award of the contract for the Provision of Transport Services for the Beatriz González Exhibition, scheduled to commence in February 2026. The Barbican Centre will present the first UK retrospective of the pioneering Colombian artist Beatriz González (b. 1932, Bucaramanga, Colombia). Bringing together over 150 artworks, many of which will be displayed in the UK for the first time, this landmark exhibition will trace the artist's influential practice from the 1960s to the present day. The call-off contract will run from February 2026 to October 2026, with the option (at the City's sole discretion) to extend the term by a further period of up to 4-6 months. Any extension will be subject to available financial resources, supplier performance, and the flexibility to meet evolving requirements. The maximum contract duration is therefore 8 months, including optional extensions. This procurement was conducted under Lot 4 of the Barbican Art Transportation Framework and has now been awarded following a comprehensive evaluation and moderation process based on the criteria set out in the Invitation to Tender. The contract has been awarded to Momart Limited.
