Description
St Monica Trust is a Bristol-based charity, which has been helping older people since 1925. The Trust has five sites in Bristol and North Somerset and provides high quality care, support and accommodation for older people. This includes village accommodation, care homes, specialist short term care facilities and dedicated dementia facilities designed to promote independence, dignity and fulfilment for all residents. The Trust wishes to move from a traditional supply of cooked meals for St Monica's care homes within their village complexes to a cooked frozen delivered-in service, and is looking to source a partner who can supply high quality frozen lunch and evening meals. The number of meals per day will be in the region of 900 supplied over five sites in the Bristol and North Somerset area. The process would be to deliver in multi-portions of the meals frozen to each site kitchen where they will be regenerated in combi ovens and delivered to the care home dining areas for service. Approximately 20% of the requirement are for modified and soft diets. The start for the delivered in services will be from 1st July 2024 with one site, and rolling out to further sites through a phased implementation.
