Description
In 1989, DVLA commenced sales of personalised vehicle registration numbers (also known as marks) to capitalise on the motoring public's demand for previously unissued registrations. Sales of these Government assets are regarded as an important source of revenue for the exchequer and to date the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) currently sells registrations through 3 distinct and separate selling routes: Online "Buy Now", Physical Auction and Online Timed Auction. DVLA intends appointing an auction company to act, as its' sole agent to offer for sale by way of public auction, both at physical events and online.
