Description
The council has a statutory duty to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families. The Youth Sector Infrastructure Support Service will provide support to the voluntary youth sector in Cumbria to build on existing strengths and raise standards to ensure that high quality, well managed and sustainable services are available that address the identified needs of young people aged 11-19 years old (up to 25 for those with additional needs). The support provided to the voluntary youth sector through this service will ensure that groups, clubs and organisations can work effectively with young people to help them overcome barriers (such as rural isolation) and challenges, focus on their personal and social development, raise aspirations and build resilience. This can have a positive impact on the outcomes and life chances of young people, especially those who are disadvantaged and vulnerable. The service specification and all other documents are available on The Chest. All bids must be submitted via The Chest by the deadline stated in the service specification. All clarification questions must also be submitted via The Chest. The website for The Chest is https://www.the-chest.org.uk and it is free for you to register.
