Description
"NDI has a number of permanent automatic traffic counters (ATC's) across the County and uses these to understand traffic flows, speed and classs profiles. In recognition of the role that many local A class roads play in supporting the economy,\r the government has identified a new national road tier in England, called the Major Road Network (MRN). The primary aim of the MRN is to ensure that transition to and from the Strategic Road Network (SRN) is smooth, fit-for-purpose, and provides a seamless experience for road users making strategic journeys. Funding has been issued by Midlands Connect for LA's to update/add to their coverage of count sites to improve our understanding of the MRN enabling us to identifty suitable candidates for further funding opportunities. Failure to drill down into specific link details may impact us being able to deliver the required level of data that could hinder any future funding opportunities.
