Description
A regulatory necessity for LLW Repository Ltd (LLWR) is to maintain the capacity and capability to support the implementation and ongoing development of the Environmental Safety Case (ESC). The objective of LLWR's ESC is to demonstrate to the Environment Agency (EA) and other stakeholders that it is safe to continue to dispose of low level waste at the LLWR's repository site. LLWR's Environmental Permit requires submission of an updated ESC to the EA by May 2021, and work has already commenced to plan the next ESC. To enable delivery, LLWR requires experienced technical experts with the specialist knowledge to support the development of the ESC. The scope covers the following: - Lot 1: General support to the LLWR ESC Team, as embedded resource, to manage and deliver technical activities (Single Supplier); - Lot 2: General technical support in areas such as impact assessment, near-field expertise and optimisation (Multi-Supplier); - Lot 3: Hydrogeological and geological support to maintain models and undertake calculations (Single Supplier); - Lot 4: Peer Review to provide independent oversight of the work programme (Single Supplier).
