Description
Heart of England Community Foundation has launched its Building Better Lives programme after receiving an anonymous donation of £4 million in December last year. The programme will support a maximum of three major initiatives providing accommodation solutions for vulnerable adults or young people. Applicants are invited to submit proposals for projects which will upgrade, extend or develop existing accommodation to provide additional capacity. The approach has been taken in a move to help organisations expand and develop their services to support a range of client groups experiencing disadvantage. Stage one of the two-stage application process is now open, with organisations invited to make their submissions until midday on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Organisations can bid for a minimum of £500,000 and a maximum of £1.35 million, and applicants must operate within Birmingham, the Black Country, Coventry, Solihull or Warwickshire and have an annual turnover of less than £15 million. Heart of England Community Foundation, a specialist grant-making charity launched in 1995, awards funding to projects across the West Midlands and has distributed more than £15 million locally, benefitting more than one million people.
