Description
Derby City Council is seeking tenders for the planned and reactive maintenance requirements at the Longbridge hydro-electric plant. The Longbridge hydro is a small hydro-electric generation plant located on the bank of the River Derwent in the centre of Derby City. Work will involve the regular planned maintenance of the hydro equipment and reactive maintenance in the event of a mechanical breakdown. In the event of a mechanical breakdown a 4 hour response time is expected. This is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the hydro power plant, to maximise income generation. The service provider must be able to demonstrate a holistic understanding of the technical, mechanical and electrical aspects of maintain a hydro power plant and will aim to maximise power generation as Derby City Council will receive the benefit of the electricity generated, the feed in tariff and any electricity which is sold back to the grid. Please note, suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation, must do so by 15.00 on 22 August 2016. It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. The deadline for returns is 14.00 on 23 August 2016.
