Outsourced Consultant Under IACS

The consultant shall undertake a review of the current classification society rules for the classification societies under IACS.The following are considered the key deliverables:1.Identify classification society rules relevant to and/or related to emission reduction technologies;2.Map the rules for different emission reduction technologies based on technology used and identifying common risks for those technologies and the approaches used for mitigation;and3.Identify key gaps in the classification society rules for emission reduction technologies and those in development or planned.Report A draft report should be submitted to MCA for comment by 5 March 2021at the latest. The final report should be submitted to MCA by 26 March 2021at the latest. Quality standardsThe consultant and MCA point of contact should hold regular meetings via MS Teams or equivalent system at least once a month, to be updated on progress of the project.The consultant should inform the MCA as soon as practicable of any delays to that progress.
